The Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers Association, or APAT, help to promote porcelain painting and associated porcelain art.

ATASDA promotes textile art and surface design and those who create it. We seek to inspire our membership through the development of a creative community and the provision of opportunities for learning new skills.

Ceramic Arts Queensland (formerly Queensland Potters Association / Fusions) is a not-for-profit volunteer run organisation formed in Brisbane in 1968. We foster an inclusive and unified ceramic art community in Qld and Northern NSW. Ceramic Arts Qld is a platform where members can share information, advertise events and access opportunities.

Creative Glass Guild of Queensland

The Creative Glass Guild of Queensland was founded in 1979 as a community-based organisation for people wishing to learn traditional and contemporary glass art techniques.

They run courses and workshops in Beadmaking, Fusing and Slumping, Contemporary and Traditional Glass Painting & Decorating, Leadlight & Copperfoiling, Mosaics, and Sand Engraving. They are the only place in Australia offering such a wide range of classes under one roof.

Lilly-Lee Gallery & Studios

Lilly-Lee Gallery & Studios is an art school that has been providing the Brisbane community with a creative arts space since 2008. It has become an iconic facility through which to learn, purchase art, or to simply enjoy being a part of a creative community.


Lilly-Lee proudly supports individuality and diversity, and welcomes all levels of artists from beginners to advance. With classes for both children and adults, our goal is to provide a warm relaxed environment that is conducive to developing skills, and confidence in your own creativity. Classes are social and our teaching methods are simple, supportive, and effective.

Papermakers and Artists Qld

Papermakers and Artists Qld 'PAQ' (formerly known as Papermakers Qld) connects artists who share a passion for paper as an art medium, with an emphasis on the exchange of skills and encouraging experimentation. PAQ represents and furthers the interests of hand papermakers and paper artists in Queensland and Northern NSW, but also has members from around Australia.

Its not all about papermaking! Membership is open to anyone with an interest in working with paper in any form. We celebrate the artistry of paper including paper sculpture, artist books, paper clay, surface design, pulp painting, marbling, calligraphy, printmaking and, of course, papermaking using recycled paper and plant fibres,

Pastel Society of Australia

Pastel Society of Australia (PSA) is dedicated to promoting pastels as a fine art medium. We offer our members numerous opportunities to grow and develop their artistic skills through regular meetings, demonstrations, workshops, competitions, exhibitions and awards.

We advance the art and appreciation of pastel painting through various activities such as workshops, demonstrations, competitions and events. Our goal is to create a supportive and friendly environment where pastel artists can learn, grow, and share their passion with others

A collection of artisans that enjoy the art of enamelling. Enamelling is the technique of applying glass on metal and then firing it at high temperatures

Queensland Bookbinders' Guild

The Queensland Bookbinders' Guild was formed in 1977 with the aim to promote, foster and practise the art of bookbinding in its traditional form and to embrace the related graphic and kindred arts. With many courses, workshops and events on our calendar, the Guild works to preserve the skills of craft bookbinding and to promote their use in both traditional and new ways of making books.

Scattered Arts

We welcome enquires from makers of high-quality arts and crafts who are interested in joining the group. The organisation is a not for profit incorporated entity and operates as a cooperative. Scattered Arts members take an active role in all aspects of running the organisation with community gatherings, workshops, market days, and social activities. Members can also take an active role in the management of Scattered Arts.

Sunshine Beaders

We are a relatively young group which was formed in 2018 by 3 passionate beaders who wanted to share and promote beading in a relaxed and friendly environment. The outcome is an inclusive, passionate group sharing new ideas, products and techniques with beginner and experienced beaders.

Currently members and teachers come from around Australia representing a cross section of age and experience. Members and teachers have a common goal of learning and developing their beading techniques with like-minded people.

The Half Dozen Group of Artists

The Half Dozen Group of Artists (HDG-Artists) was formed by 6 artists in 1941, and, since then, has nurtured hundreds of artists.

The HDG-Artists is an established, welcoming, community art group where artists enjoy regular workshops, exhibiting, mentoring, socialising and much more. It is a non-elitist group where beginners work alongside professionals in a supportive and encouraging environment. The community thrives on a shared love of art through creating, drawing, painting and learning from and encouraging each other.

Watercolour Society of Queensland

WSQ is a lively, non-profit group all about spreading the joy of watercolour painting. They support artists, students, and art lovers from all walks of life, bringing people together to celebrate this beautiful art form.

Western Suburbs Clayworkers

The Western Suburbs Clayworkers in Brisbane emerged after a group of TAFE ceramic students from the Southbank Institute, discussed the benefits of belonging to a pottery group where members could network, assist, and guide one another to achieve satisfying outcomes. After a series of fortuitous circumstances, the Sherwood Neighbourhood Centre permitted two people to join them as volunteers and to then instigate a group for ceramic artists, and like-minded people who have a passion for creating with clay
